Starting from 6 PM on March 8th, rain and snow fell on the ancient city of Gongdong in northwest Sichuan, at an altitude of 2850 meters. On the morning of March 9th, the beautiful Shangpan was adorned with a thick layer of snow.

Last night, Shangpan experienced widespread heavy snowfall. From Gongdong ancient city to the Huanglong World Nature Reserve, the Chuanzhu Temple town Red Army Long March Memorial Park, and the Zhuangjia Village and, everywhere was covered in white snow, with a silver and snow-white appearance. The Huanglong scenic area was shrouded in clouds and mist, with the Cai Chi covered in snow, and the undulating forests became vast snow forests and grasslands. In the Mingzhu Town, a gem of the plateau, the Chuanzhu Temple's Red Army Memorial shone brightly in the sunlight. The flag in front of the memorial was even more vibrant and eye-catching, and the snowflakes adorning the treetops were particularly beautiful. The entire Shangpan was covered in snow.

This time, Shangpan received 7.2mm of snowfall, with a depth of 2cm, and an average temperature of -3.0 degrees. A blue alert for heavy snowfall was issued, and a yellow alert was issued for ice roads. This snowfall is beneficial for forest protection and spring farming, and there is not much snow on the roads, which does not affect traffic. The snowfall alleviates the dry air.
