Taihe is the hometown of Yaizi (Rooster), Taihe Yaizi is renowned both domestically and internationally for its high ornamental, medicinal and food value.
Wushan resembles a sleeping beauty, with clear lines. Around this sleeping beauty, a series of beautiful stories are told. It is said that Lu Dongbin, He Xian, Tiegui Li and eight other immortals visited the Luo Xiao Mountain range to Wushan during the Mid-Autumn Festival, when the osmanthus flowers were fragrant and the chrysanthemums were in full bloom. The eight immortals held a lively gathering, admired the landscape, expressed their opinions and discussed matters in Wushan for several days.

Wushan's shape resembles a saddle, with an altitude of 365.7 meters. There are 38 historical sites on the mountain. Wubo Gang, Lion Group, Yangtianhu (Sky Lake), Huigui Cave, Dan Pill Pool, and Xianren Pool are famous scenic spots in Taihe. Literary figures from previous dynasties have written poetry and essays about Wushan, with records appearing as early as the Ming Dynasty poems and writings by Tang Xianzu. Today, the old alchemy site on the second peak of Wushan can still be seen, with a platform about a hundred square meters and a spring pool below, the pool goes nine inches deep and has a diameter of less than two feet. The water is clear and sweet, and visitors and hunters drink from it during the hot summer months to quench their thirst. Surprisingly, the pool never overflows, no matter how many people drink from it, it does not dry up.
Yaizi Gene Bank

The Yaizi Gene Bank originated from ‘Wushan Native Breed Farm’, established in 1959. The gene bank covers an area of 128 acres, with incubation houses, brooding houses and breeding houses with a construction area of 13800 square meters. Currently, there are 50,000 native Taihe Yaizi chickens and 70,000 commodity chickens.

Wushan Yaizi Ecological Park
The entire protection zone is planned with a grazing area of 650 acres, capable of raising 500,000 Yaizi chickens. After repeated experiments, researchers have developed a Yaizi rearing ecological farming method, through rearing, Yaizi returns to nature, which can improve the quality of Yaizi.

Yaizi chickens are best raised in sunny, well-ventilated areas. Underground, they can peck at various minerals; on the ground, especially pine seeds, camphor seeds, jasmine and various wild grasses and seeds; on the ground, they can peck at insects that fall from trees. The entire grazing area can drink Wushan spring water.
