Pay Attention From April Onward! (or See This Now!)
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently issued the 'Management Regulations for the Use of Outbound Tourism Agency Visa Specialist Cards'
to take effect on April 1, 2020

The regulations, formulated according to the 'Travel Agency Regulations', the 'Administrative Measures for the Outbound Tourism of Chinese Citizens', and relevant laws and regulations, comprise 14 articles, and comprehensively regulate the visa specialist cards, the visa specialist management system, the visa specialist cards, and the visa specialist management system, as well as the application for, replacement, or reissue of visa specialist cards and their correct use.
The regulations clarify that a visa specialist card refers to a document issued by the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for outbound tourism agencies to apply for outbound tourism group visas to the Chinese embassies and consulates in relevant countries and regions, used to prove the identity of outbound tourism group visa application personnel to various Chinese embassies and consulates.
The regulations point out that outbound tourism agencies and related units and individuals who forge or falsify visa specialist cards will be subject to serious handling by the administrative departments of culture and tourism in accordance with the law.
