Barcelona | Exploring the Aesthetic of Color in Gaudí Buildings

“ Why do you hate this world?"
“Because after thousands of years of civilization, humans still haven’t learned how to love.”

The initial impression of Barcelona comes from Woody Allen’s film.If a city gets involved with romanticism, it’s difficult for the rose-tinted glasses to escape. And in fact, when I first encountered Barcelona, it was at midnight, 1:00 AM.
Perhaps there is no city in the world that can be as unrestrained as Barcelona. In the fantastical curves of Gaudí, in the surreal impressionism of Picasso, and in Dali’s distorted space and time, flows this city’s crazy, carefree, and rebellious blood.

FoodMercado de la Boqueria
I stubbornly believe that the fastest way to establish communication with a city is to taste its local food. The next day after meeting friends, I went straight to Boqueria Market.

Recognize this sign, that’s it!
This is Barcelona’s oldest and most authentic food market.Iberian ham, grilled squid, cod with fava beans, Spanish seafood rice, fruit and cheese...There is no foodie who can resist it here, here is a paradise!

About the most famousSpanish Seafood Rice, it’s actually not very suitable for our taste, the rice is raw, and it’s also very salty! I couldn’t finish it, so I just gave up. Of course, there are also restaurants specifically for tourists, and their seafood rice is mostly modified to suit Asian tastes (although I always feel like trying it even if I can’t eat it!)

Ramble Avenue has many delicacies, and many people on Little Red Book recommend lip-shaped cakes that are also sold on this street.Escribà, Escribà is a hundred-year-old pastry shop in Barcelona. The desserts are not too sweet or greasy, Llavi is a Spanish name for lip-shaped cake.

It’s a bit tacky to take pictures in front of a celebrity store, forgive me!
Sagrada Familia
Carrer de Mallorca
⛪️ GaudíChurch of the Sacred Family
“It belongs to mankind, curves belong to God,” Gaudí is Barcelona’s bottom line.In Gaudí’s romantic architectural art, it’s almost impossible to find straight lines. And the Sagrada Familia, designed by him, is one of the most beautiful churches in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has not yet been completed. From the outside, the supporting structure of the church is still being built, but it doesn’t diminish the intricate and exquisite carvings when viewed up close.

The church is divided into three facades: Birth, Suffering, and Glory, and it’s almost like a whole set of exquisitely carved biblical scriptures. At the Sagrada Familia, the most beautiful time is when the sun shines, and for a moment, it’s like being bathed in holy light. The small plaques in the church are also very cute, and they wrote:Love is to approach the happiness of the other person
The Sagrada Familia can be climbed, and the top of the Sagrada Familia is narrow, but you can overlook the whole of Barcelona. At the Sagrada Familia, the most beautiful time is when the sun shines, and for a moment, it’s like being bathed in holy light. The small plaques in the church are also very cute, and they wrote:

Barató House
Passeig de Gràcia
Barató HouseCasa Batlló
Take the subway to Passeig de Gràcia station, and when you get out of the station, the opposite side isBarató HouseBarató HouseFollowing Gaudí’s consistent curved design and magical colors, the outer wall is decorated with mosaics, the roof is a sawtooth shape, the chimneys are like a holy sword, and the balconies are like masks. It’s really like entering an underwater world.

The lower floor is a cellar, and there’s a toilet door, which is a good place for photos.

One year out of 365 days, there are 300 days of sunny Barcelona, making the Mediterranean sunshine and waves even more charming.

Joan de Borbo Avenue
When you arrive at Torre Barcelona, the street on which you arrive at the Barcelona bus stop, there is a very cute celebrity ice cream shop, the ice cream is ice cream, and there are two choices, soft candy and oatmeal, and the taste of ice cream is not particularly outstanding, but it’s cute, so it’s good.
