The Dezhou Grand Canyon is located southwest of the city of Yining, Dezhou District, 28 kilometers from the city center. The canyon runs north-south, about 20 kilometers long, with the bottom width ranging from 100 to 400 meters, and the shoulder width ranging from 800 to 1000 meters. The canyon walls are steep cliffs, eroded by long-term water erosion from snow and rain, covered with knife-carved, axe-shaped wrinkles, majestic and perilous, creating a strong visual contrast with the vast grasslands.
