Signaghi, Georgia: The Charming Town That Makes You Want to Fall in Love!

Signaghi, located in Georgia, is also a wine town, locally known as the 'Town of Love'. For Georgia, which is already niche, Signaghi is even more niche.

☺️Why go?

When traveling to Georgia, we explored Tbilisi, Kazbegi, and Mestia, and finally spent the last few days shopping at the Dry Bridge Market in Tbilisi and encountered a super enthusiastic old lady boss who was from Signaghi. Hearing her talk about this fairytale town, her eyes were shining, and she said it was the town of love, which deeply infected us, so we decided to go to Signaghi for a day trip the next day.

How to get there?

1. Private car

We booked a private car day trip from our Tbilisi guesthouse, and the price was also great, so our four people chose to book a car, and the boss also served as a guide to introduce us to the town’s culture and history.

2. Minibus

Take the Tbilisi subway to the Samgori station, where there are many transfer minibuses. Ask the staff or locals at the bus station for the destination.

3. Taxi

There are many drivers with attraction signs on the streets, you can inquire about the price.

1. Natural scenery

The natural scenery of the town is really invincible, whether gazing from afar or appreciating nearby, words like ‘fairytale’, ‘romantic’, and ‘warm’ appear in our minds. Or climb to the castle to overlook it, or see the sculptures to learn about the cultural history.

It’s not surprising that it’s called the Town of Love, and it makes sense. Even a robot like me, which has no emotions, feels like wanting to fall in love, haha.

2. Wine and food

There are really few tourists, the sun is really good. There are many wineries everywhere, it’s a wine paradise.

When you’re tired, find a place to sit down and taste local specialties, and they’re affordable and of good value!

Here you can also try a drink similar to plum juice, which is refreshing and thirst-quenching.

3. Souvenirs

There are many handicrafts that can be used as souvenirs, I particularly care about magnets, various kinds of magnets, really beautiful!
