Wuxi Nianhua Bay: A Copy of Nara, Japan? It's Actually Tang Dynasty Architecture - Don't Miss This When Traveling in Jiangsu
Nara, Japan's most popular travel destination favored by Chinese tourists, visitors flock here to interact with little deer and also love the extensive clusters of ancient buildings. Recently, I heard that (Nianhua Bay) in Wuxi is very popular online, and walking into the town feels like stepping onto the streets of Nara. It's the blooming season, so I specially came to check in.

Nianhua Bay Town's overall architectural style is indeed very similar to that of Nara, Japan. However, the structure of these buildings actually originates from China's Tang Dynasty, making it a genuine Tang Dynasty ancient building. Besides the ancient buildings in Athens, the town's design also incorporates the characteristic of China's Jiangnan water-dense small town, creating a unique town style.

The buildings inside the scenic area basically maintain a consistent style, whether it's the street area or the courtyard of the accommodation, they are all the same. Walking in the lanes on a spring afternoon, you can encounter many visitors who specifically come to open their Hanfu, of course, there are also regular Hanfu flash mobs and performances inside the scenic area.

The tallest building in the scenic area is the (Nianhua Tower), which is also the building I like most and think is the most beautiful. The (Nianhua Tower) is a Tang Dynasty wooden structure, a five-story pagoda, with five floors, located in the main street area, it looks very antique and elegant, especially in the setting sun, the (Nianhua Tower) looks particularly beautiful.

In front of the (Nianhua Tower), there are regular performances of (Butterfly Transformation), which is a must-see. Every evening between 18:30-20:20, there will be a round of lighting up of the tower every period, a total of five sessions.

Nianhua Bay's main street area is very bustling whether it's daytime or nighttime, with various stores distributed along both sides of the main street, there are many choices, whether it's Wuxi's specialty food or exquisite handcrafts. I tried the watercress wontons, Wuxi small soup dumplings and baked buns inside, the taste is very good.
Nianhua Bay is a tourism resort area that integrates nature, culture, and lifestyle. The scenic area is themed around zen living, and this humanistic sentiment has been incorporated into every corner. Whether it's the extensive Tang style buildings or the scattered experience stores inside, they all provide unique experiences. If you're looking for a holistic mind and body experience, why not simply watch the cherry blossoms in full bloom in the scenic area. If you want to be more concrete, going for copying scriptures would be a good choice.

Of course, Nianhua Bay is not just that. The town is a tourist resort town that integrates eating, playing, shopping, and accommodation. It's a good choice to take a two-day break and enjoy life.
