Chengdu People Take You to Explore the World: The Unnoticed Slovakia, a Niche City Full of Surprises
Youpin will take you to travel the world, our European trip continues to depart.
Czechoslovakia was originally one country, which was then divided into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Czech Republic is well-known because of Prague, while Slovakia seems a little obscure.
This time, Youpin will bring you into Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, a super niche European city filled with macarons.
Starting from Budapest Central Railway Station in Hungary, take the Euro-Rail, it takes about two and a half hours to arrive in Bratislava. To experience the city's scenery, we choose to walk from the train station to the hotel we booked.
The hotel is located in the center of the Old Town, it's convenient to access nearby attractions. We recommend it, named: Austira Trend Hotel Bratislava, you can book it online, about RMB 437/night (including tax) in the off-season.

After lunch, we set off to Bratislava's Old Town.
The architecture in the Old Town has a lively atmosphere, like most Chinese pedestrian streets, with supermarkets, clothing stores, restaurants and newsstands displayed on both sides, and the trolley bus runs through the city.
We pass through the residential area where locals live, and arrive at the Old Town street area.
The Old Town street area is the most worth visiting place in the city, here are many famous sculptures and statues, these statues are distributed in all corners of the street, and they are not conspicuous.
When visiting the Old Town street area, pay attention, you might accidentally miss a special attraction that was originally on your itinerary.
The sewer worker leaning against the corner of the street is one of Bratislava's famous statues – 'The Watchman'

There are many iconic buildings in the Old Town street area, such as St. Martin's Cathedral, the Old Town Hall of Slovakia, the Presidential Palace of Slovakia, and the Slovak National Theatre.
The picture is Bratislava Slovak National Theatre at night, and the Roland Fountain standing in the center.

As night falls, many characteristic bars in the Old Town street area start to open, tired of strolling, find a seat to drink a cocktail, you can enjoy street musicians playing the hand organ, and watch colorful people passing through the street.
Note that the alcohol content of cocktails in Europe is generally higher, if you don't have a good wine tolerance, don't be greedy.
The itinerary for the second day is simple and straightforward, after breakfast, we went straight to Bratislava Castle.
The castle is located on a small hill in the Old Town street area, you can reach it by passing through the Old Town street area, climbing the castle can overlook the entire city and the Danube River.
Standing on the castle, you can see Bratislava New Bridge, because the buildings on the bridge look like UFOs, this bridge is called UFO Bridge by many people.
The UFO is actually a restaurant, if you have time, you can experience it.

After coming down from Bratislava Castle, we went to the blue church, a popular check-in spot.
There are many blue churches like this in Bratislava, immersed in such warm-colored buildings, people feel relaxed and full of macaron-colored city, is my first impression of Bratislava.

On the way back to the hotel, we accidentally discovered this decoration shop, which felt meaningful, so we took a picture.

In summary, my feelings about staying in Bratislava for two days are: the small city is very peaceful and full of life, the price level is not as high as in large European cities, but the snacks and meals on the street are all exquisite and flavorful, which is one of the reasons I fell in love with this niche city.
In my opinion, whether it's the surprise experience brought by niche cities, or the artistic heritage brought by popular tourist cities, it's the real purpose of travel to explore and discover beauty in the unknown journey.
If you have the opportunity, you must come here to experience it yourself!
