Are Indian Trains Really Three Layers Full of People?

For many people, the most noticeable change in modern life is the shift in our daily lives, moving from simply having enough to eat and wear to now prioritizing spiritual wealth above material comforts. Following changes in material living, people have begun to broaden their horizons. For many, travel has gradually replaced staying at home and endlessly watching dramas and movies, becoming a new and popular way to relieve stress in people's lives. Because people are increasingly pursuing high-value travel, many Southeast Asian countries are inevitably compared to our country.

As the most popular country for people to visit, India is often compared to our country, and the public's perception is often: India is very backward, with everywhere being dirty and chaotic. This 'dirty and chaotic' situation is undeniable, considering the long-held image of the Ganges River as the dirtiest river in the world, and the fact that many residents use it for daily water needs. The sanitation situation is self-evident. Regarding transportation, the Indian trains are famously overcrowded, with people packed inside and outside the carriages. Experiencing real India reveals that we have been misled for years.

The so-called 'packed carriages' – meaning the carriages are full of people – is a misrepresentation. This is actually a relic of the past, a practice that was once used in India and has since been discontinued. In fact, compared to countries like Laos and Nepal, as well as other Southeast Asian countries, Indian transport is already better than half a carriage. However, compared to our country, the gap is still significant, given our reputation as a 'construction frenzy'.

Although India has a large population, it is still less than our country. However, when considering the land area per capita, Indian people live in a crowded way. After all, we have 9.6 million, while they have less than one-third of that, approximately 2.98 million.

Therefore, the burden of transportation and land is heavy for them. But the image of 'packed carriages' is a myth; it was actually Bangladesh, not India, that was misrepresented as 'the most miserable'.

Although Indian trains are shorter than ours in terms of journey length, they have an equal number of trains. Most of the time, the vast majority of carriages are empty, but they become incredibly crowded during holidays, with no room to move. It's important to emphasize that the cleanliness of the carriages and their outward appearance contrast sharply, creating a distinct impression of cleanliness and order. In fact, India has been quietly making progress and moving closer to internationalization, gradually correcting our outdated perception of it as 'backward'

Many people still have a perception of India from several years, or even ten years ago. But the reality is…

India is developing in various aspects, and it was once assessed that its economic growth rate will far exceed our country, becoming one of the most developing countries. We have always believed that India is lagging behind because our development is fast, leading us to believe that it is still in place. Although India's development is currently still lagging, who can guarantee that it will seize the opportunity and quickly catch up?

With so much uncertainty in the future, we must always use a dynamic perspective to view the development of any region or thing, so as to always grasp the overall situation and respond appropriately to the ever-changing situation.
