Lost in Appearances: It May Take Many Years to Escape
Seeing through the essence doesn't mean you're right. It simply means you've taken a further step towards the truth. If you can't penetrate the essence, relying solely on peeling away layers won't bring you closer to the truth. Because you wouldn't know which is the thread and which is the cocoon, you'd get lost in appearances, and it might take you many years to escape.
