Born to be a Person, Life Needs Interest
We truly like a person because of their interesting nature, not because of their appearance or their wealth. We all like to be with interesting people.
Yu Guangqian said:
I am not afraid of people who are dull, nor of people with excessive intelligence, only fearing those who are boring. It is a great pity to have to engage in conversations with people who are not interesting.
When you meet interesting people, you don't need to talk a lot, just silent mutual understanding, heart-to-heart, and you'll feel the greatest joy in your friends.
Interest is one of the criteria for making friends, and people who are interesting are always more popular when interacting with others.

During his birthday party, Liang Shih-chu invited some friends to his home for a small gathering. After the banquet, he asked Ice-Heart to write on the birthday memorial album. Ice-Heart wrote the following passage:

Yang Jiang once wrote many stories about Mr. Qian Zhongshu, the most famous of which is 'Mr. Qian Zhongshu helped his cat fight.'
The couple kept a cat, and one time, their cat fought with a neighbor's cat. Mr. Qian worried that his cat would be defeated, so he ran into the yard with a long bamboo pole to help his cat fight.

As people grow older, they tend to consider pros and cons and voluntarily abandon the joy of life. In fact, to become an interesting person, you must hold onto childlike innocence and have a sincere heart.

Abandon utilitarianism
Truly interesting people are kind-hearted. Through years of experience, they have developed a distinctive style, a value of tolerance and empathy, they are tolerant, have compassion and are willing to give love to the world, adding more fuel to the fire.
In reality, many people are boring, unhappy and withered. They are followers of utilitarianism, pursuing only 'material' and maximizing profits. They don't appreciate life, just constantly climbing, interpreting the world as a racetrack.

Be a happy person
Lin Yutang said: 'Su Dongpo is an incurable optimist.' Su Dongpo lived a life of constant displacement and suffering, but he remained optimistic and tolerant.
During his exile, he admired flowers, 'fearing that the night was deep and the flowers were asleep, so he burned candles to illuminate his makeup.' He brewed wine, 'on the first day, small fish spat out bubbles, on the second day, he was dizzy and his eyes were bright, on the third day, the pot was fragrant.'
