The Moment That Made You Feel Life is Difficult
Difficulties are like springs; weaken them and they grow stronger!
In 2007, I went to Shanghai with 5,000 RMB.
I had an apartment rented with three deposits and one payment, and soon I had very little money left in my hands. Fortunately, I had already found a job at that time, although the salary wasn't high, it was finally settled. The workplace was a bit far away, requiring two subway transfers, which was freezing cold every morning, and I had to get up before dawn. I didn't feel much hardship.
It wasn't long before I suddenly developed acute appendicitis, and the doctor demanded immediate surgery. The surgery required a family member's signature, but I was alone in Shanghai, with no one to help me sign. I had to plead with the doctor, saying I would sign myself, promising to bear all the consequences, even shedding tears, and the doctor finally agreed.
It's hard to forget the feeling of helplessness lying weakly in bed after the anesthesia wore off. The pain in my body, combined with worries about my new boss being dissatisfied because I had taken leave, and the considerable cost of the surgery, almost made it impossible for me to rest.
I endured this pain and anxiety for a whole seven days until I had my stitches removed and was discharged. The doctor said I needed another week of rest at home to recover before I could return to work, but I couldn't dare. On the second day of my discharge, I went straight to work. Moreover, because I had no money, I didn't even take the anti-inflammatory medicine the doctor prescribed for me when I was discharged, let alone buy nutritional supplements to replenish my body.
Looking back, that was indeed a difficult life. Fortunately, I was young at the time, like Iron Man, I could carry everything.
