You and I See Characters as Faces

1
Memory is like a treasure box hidden in the heart of each person; it's simply that over time, you forget the incantation to open it. Suddenly, an unintentional scene – such as: the afternoon sunlight as you read a passage of text, a familiar melody heard at the corner of a restaurant, or a small platform while traveling by train… In that moment, memories surge forward like a tide, and the box opens as if you're suddenly transported back to the past. Perhaps it's just for a moment, but it's undoubtedly the most genuine emotion within your heart. Seeing or remembering, it doesn't matter. All memories are rooted in reality, they need a medium. The reason I wrote these words is because I saw an article titled 'Next Station, Park Front' on Douban last night, which evoked memories of Guangzhou. I've actually taken that train ride, passed through that platform. Park Front – a poetic and interesting platform. That's what 'seeing is believing' and 'nostalgia for someone' really means: it's the recollection of those times, those people, or simply remembering yourself back then.
