A Blessed Person Doesn't Need to Hurry
We all seek blessings and have many plans and arrangements. In reality, if we can hold onto righteous conduct, we will have blessings no matter where we go.
Just as cultivating wisdom is like striking a match—once the fire is lit, ash naturally appears. When you only seek liberation for sentient beings without considering your own gains and losses, these worldly blessings will naturally arise.
Those who attain worldly blessings are like playing a game—gold and dung are equivalent within their realm. Would you cherish a pile of dung? Of course not. Therefore, even possessing all the wealth of the three realms wouldn't cause him any pressure, and this wealth cannot bind him.
Merit is accumulated within oneself, stored within the consciousness of abiding luminosity. It constantly follows along with us, inseparable, and cannot be abandoned. Even if you arrive in the hell or hungry ghost realms, these blessings will still accompany you, inseparable and unwavering. Because the blessings you receive at that time are constant, unchanging, inherently present, and original.
If there were no cultivation, as Master Rongshou said, accumulating, guarding, and losing wealth is suffering. The process of accumulating wealth is painful, and even when you possess wealth, guarding it is also a source of suffering. Ultimately, there are only two outcomes: either you lose your wealth, or you lose yourself. These outcomes are inherently painful.
Many people only seek ash without striking a match, even if the ash has no value, you won't receive it—without striking a match, how can you get ash? It's your own fault!
Wise individuals only strike a match to obtain ash—the ash naturally appears. Those great virtuous monks are not seeking worldly blessings, but blessings naturally arise, along with fame and fortune, everything is complete, and you cannot escape it.
