Rather Than a Single Ray of Light in My Heart, I'd Rather Be Alone

Endless snow
Whitened the willows
In the depths
A familiar voice echoed
Speak less
Ignorance of the danger from words
No one could understand
Pain choked in my throat
A pair of old eyes
Gazed at the distant horizon
Tears filled my eyes
Yet, I didn't want to cry
Memories of the past
Figures from faded stories
Still clear
My heart remained the same
Those birds
Why don't they dance?
Perhaps because of the dark sky
Blurred vision
An ancient moon
Shining on a modern road
It seems a bit ridiculous
Pending evaluation
This is the kind of person I am
I do what I want
For that sliver of light in my heart
I'd rather be alone
