The deliciousness of pumpkin is something many people have experienced. Today I'm going to make a steamed pumpkin dish, which is even more delicious with the delicious ribs.
Ingredients needed: Pumpkin, ribs, scallions, salt, light soy sauce, and cornstarch – all to your liking.
Step 1: When buying the ribs, ask the vendor to cut them into small segments. Rinse them clean and put them in water, changing the water every 3 minutes to remove as much blood from the ribs as possible.
For clear-cooked ribs, it's not recommended to blanch them because once they've been boiled, the meat will become tough. After steaming, they won't be tender.
Step 2: Rinse the soaked ribs and drain off the water before adding appropriate amounts of salt, light soy sauce, and cornstarch, and marinate for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
Step 3: Peel and deseed the pumpkin, wash it thoroughly and cut it into small squares. Pumpkin is rich in polysaccharides, carotene, and pectin, and it's also inexpensive. When combined with ribs, it's even more nutritious.
Step 4: Place the cut pumpkin at the bottom of the dish, and arrange the ribs on top. You can also mix them together as you like.
Step 5: Place the dish in the steamer or oven at 110°C for 20 minutes. If you don't have a steamer oven, you can use a regular steamer, which will take about 15 minutes. Adjust the time according to the amount of ribs.
After taking it out, sprinkle with scallion flowers, it's particularly delicious to eat in the summer. Every time I steam a plate, it's never enough to finish, it's so delicious!
