1. Method:
(1) Lazy Method: ① All ingredients except the (gōu qǐ – Dried Goji Berries) are washed and soaked before bed. Place them in the rice cooker and set it to cook as usual. As for how long to cook, it depends on when you want to wake up in the morning. ② I think the cooking time should be longer than your wake-up time by one hour so that the porridge becomes thicker after being kept warm for an hour. ③ When you wake up, the first thing you should do is to wash the (gōu qǐ – Dried Goji Berries) with running water and put them into the porridge. Turn off the rice cooker and wait for you to tidy up your 'personal hygiene' before eating.
(2) Health Method: ① If I have time, I still recommend using a(shā guō – Cast Iron Pot) for cooking porridge, as it's better. ② First, wash and soak the ingredients for half a day, then put them in the (shā guō – Cast Iron Pot) and cook over high heat until it boils. ③ Then, reduce the heat to a small fire and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours.
2. "" (Biǎn dòu shān yào lián zi zhōu – Broad Bean, Mountain Yam, and Lotus Seed Porridge) Ingredients: 15g of (biǎn dòu – Broad Bean), 15g of (shān yào – Mountain Yam), 15g of (lián zi – Lotus Seed), 50g of (jīng mǐ – Short-Grain Rice).
Method:Above four ingredients plus water, cook into Stomach-Nourishing and Stomach-Soothing Porridge.Effectiveness: (1) Broad Bean, Mountain Yam, and Lotus Seed Porridge is suitable for people with(pí xū – Deficient Spleen) conditions.
