How to Make Oil Cakes at Home: Golden, Crispy, and Delicious

During this time I really want to eat the fried oil cakes sold on the street. The oil cakes have a golden and tempting color, with bubbly outer skin and a delicate, soft texture. Taking a bite of the oil cake, the sugar juice flows out, making it especially sweet. Just thinking about it makes me want to eat it now.

Today, I'm going to share how to make oil cakes at home. The main ingredients needed are flour, white sugar, and red sugar. Making oil cakes also requires technique. It's important to avoid burning the oil cakes and burning the oil cakes, so let's take a look at the method with me.
1, Let's first make the sugar filling for the oil cakes. Take an empty bowl and add several spoonfuls of white sugar and red sugar to it. Then add 2 spoonfuls of flour and mix well. Adding flour here is to prevent the sugar juice from flowing out of the oil cakes when frying.

2, After the water in the pot boils, reduce the heat and add 2 spoonfuls of white sugar and stir until dissolved. Then pour in a large bowl of flour.
The ratio of flour to water is approximately 500g of flour and 600g of water.

Then use a rolling pin and continuously stir in one direction to completely cook the flour. Finally, mix the flour together and stop when it's no longer sticky.

3, Sprinkle some dry flour on the cutting board, put the cooked dough on the cutting board, and quickly knead it into a soft dough.

After kneading the dough, pinch off a piece of dough and roll it into a long strip, then cut it into several equal small portions. Then start wrapping the oil cakes. Use both hands to shape the small portions into a hollowed-out shape in the middle, and then wrap them with the sugar filling and shape them.

This way, the oil cakes wrapped in this way will not leak the sugar filling, and will not break when frying in the oil pot. It's much safer. When wrapping oil cakes, don't ask someone to help you. You know best whether the oil cakes are wrapped properly. If the oil cakes are not wrapped well and leak filling, then you will burn yourself when frying the oil cakes.

4, Pour a lot of oil into the pot, then heat the oil to medium heat, and one by one put the oil cakes in to fry.

During the frying process, flip the oil cakes one by one and fry until they are golden yellow on both sides, then take them out of the oil.
