Rice Cooker Chicken Recipe: Crispy Skin, Tender Meat, Fragrant and Flavorful!
Rice Cooker Chicken Delight
Ingredients:
1 Three-Yellow Chicken (about 1000g), 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons old soy sauce, 3 tablespoons light soy sauce, 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce, salt to taste, scallions (green onions) to taste, ginger to taste
Instructions:
1. Clean the Three-Yellow Chicken, clip its claws, remove the internal organs, and remove the chicken's tail feathers.
2. Mix oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, old soy sauce, light soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, salt to taste, scallions and ginger in a bowl.
3. Place the cleaned Three-Yellow Chicken in a bowl, and add all the seasonings from (2).
4. Apply evenly, and ensure the chicken's belly is also coated. After coating, cover with cling film or a plastic bag and refrigerate for marinating overnight (Zerey Ma typically marinates larger ingredients overnight, and then makes them the next day).
5. This is the chicken marinated overnight plus one morning.
6. Add a little oil to the rice cooker, and add chopped scallion segments and ginger slices.
7. Place the marinated Three-Yellow Chicken in the rice cooker, and pour the marinated sauce over the chicken. (Important: Do not add water, do not add water, do not add water!)
8. Cover and start the rice cooking program (one rice cooking program for 30 minutes).
9. After one program, flip the chicken and start the rice cooking program again. (Note: a total of two rice cooking programs).
10. It's ready! Fragrant and delicious!
