The Grade II National Protected Animal Black-Crowned Heron Appears at the Sunan County Huiyu Scenic Resort
On April 2nd, a Grade II national protected animal, a black-crowned heron, landed and rested in the Qiang ethnic minority cultural and tourism garden in Sunan County. With the improvement of the ecological environment of the Qilian Mountains, more national protected animals frequently appear in the depths of the Qilian Mountains, becoming a unique natural landscape in the local area.



According to reports, the black-crowned heron (scientific name: Ardea cinerea) is a wading bird of the heron family and heron genus, and also the type species of the heron genus. It was listed in the 2012 IUCN Red List of Threatened Species - Version 3.1 - Least Concern.
