Hundred Scenic Mountains and Rivers - Jiuzhaigou
Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve is located in the Jiuzhaigou County of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China, and is the first nature reserve in China with the primary purpose of protecting natural scenery. It is also a famous scenic spot and national civilized tourist demonstration point in China, and has been included in the World Heritage List and the ‘Man and Biosphere’ Protection Network.
Jiuzhaigou is a gorge with a depth of more than 50km, with a total area of 650.74hm². Most of it is covered in forest. It got its name because of the nine Tibetan villages of Tree-Root, Lotus Leaf, Tzekawa, etc., located in this high-altitude lake cluster. In 2009, the No. 1 Waterfall with a width of 320 meters was included in the China World Record Association China's Widest Waterfall.
Ri-ze Valley Scenic Line is 18 kilometers long, between No. 1 Waterfall and the Primitive Forest, and is the highlight of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Line, which is beautiful and unrestrained, with many changes, and is also the climax of Jiuzhaigou’s landscape.
Za-ru Valley is the fourth valley of Jiuzhaigou. The valley has beautiful mountains and clear streams; moss and pine trees sway in the wind; distant mountains and close trees, and clusters of flowers; wild animals appear and disappear in the forest; everywhere exudes primitive beauty. The valley's ecological environment is extremely small influenced by human activities, Tibetan folk customs and life are still preserved in a rustic and original state, in Za-ru Valley you can not only enjoy the scenery of mountains and waters, but also feel the unique charm of the Bon religion.
Colorful Pool is located in the southern section of the Tzekawa Valley of Jiuzhaigou's Y-shaped three valleys, north of Longhai. It is famous for its beautiful, colorful, pure and transparent appearance. It is the smallest and most brilliant pool in Jiuzhaigou.
