Beijing Huairou Shitan Scenic Area, convenient transportation, via Jingcheng Highway, Dagang Highway, and Jingmi Highway, and it's almost to the Yanqi Lake Expo Center. Navigate to Yanqi Lake Moonlight Valley.
It takes about 2 hours to arrive from the city center, although it's 70 kilometers, with many speed limits. The scenic area ticket price is 35 yuan for adults and 17 yuan for seniors (half price). Tickets are only accepted in cash, not electronic payment. The parking lot is small, 10 yuan for a car, and 20 yuan for a large vehicle.
The scenery is not very large. If you don't bring children to play in the water, 1 hour is enough. There are fish and insects in the water, you can use a fishing net to catch them. The temperature is cooler than the city center, and it's a good place to escape the summer heat.
Dogs are allowed in the scenic area, and dogs can swim. There are farmhouses in Shitan and Moonlight Valley, and the menus are similar. It's a must to order grilled rainbow trout. Recently, sturgeon is also popular, with various ways to prepare it, such as sashimi and barbecue.
The price of farmhouse meals is between 70 and 100 yuan. Rainbow trout, skewers, and the taste are very good, worth trying.
