Zanzibar, Africa: Featuring Azure Skies and Coconut Beaches, Even More Beautiful than the Maldives

From Arusha to Zanzibar, from the animal paradise to the beautiful coastal century. Ending the inland safari, we took a small plane to Zanzibar Island, and as we were about to land, the dense red-roofed houses were the first impression of Stone Town. The blue sea, white sand, the dense old town, it's really beautiful!

In Zanzibar, it feels like it's not like Africa, there are old houses and various UNESCO buildings here. The historical sedimentation makes Zanzibar a world-renowned tourist destination.

There are all kinds of resorts here, and even in Africa, you can feel the comfort and relaxation like in the Maldives.

Due to its location as a transportation hub, cultures from different parts of the world have gathered and blended for thousands of years. Here it's like the world of 'One Thousand and One Nights'. The streets are narrow, the buildings constructed of coral stone have been washed by time, telling of the past prosperity and decline.
I walked along the beach in Zanzibar and saw many wild starfish and seashells.

If you are interested in history and culture, I suggest you wander around Stone Town, Zanzibar, for 1 day. Pass through one after another beautiful, copper-nailed teak doors, which were once homes of wealth and prosperity, now they have become. You can slowly discover which door is Indian-style, which one is Arab-style, and which teak door in the city is the most luxurious, and what stories are hidden inside.

Blue sky and white clouds, white sand beach, coconut trees, the classic African resort combination can be found here.

I also happened to meet Maasai people here selling various handmade souvenirs. The handicrafts are all handmade by them, and the prices are not very high.

The beautiful African beaches, Zanzibar are a must-see
However, the good times didn't last long, I got sick in Arusha because I drank local water to brush my teeth, so when traveling to Africa, you must never drink local tap water, even brushing your teeth is not allowed because it is full of bacteria.

Local people may be fine drinking tap water, but if you are a foreigner, drinking a sip of local water will instantly make you sick, and I got acute gastroenteritis,

The beautiful scenery couldn't be appreciated, I was vomiting and had diarrhea. So when traveling, all kinds of sudden situations will occur. The local hospitals don't have medicine, so I stubbornly endured the illness and waited for it to recover gradually.

After recovering my body, I took a boat from Zanzibar back to the capital Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam is a relatively dangerous city, don't go out after dark, the crime rate here is high. The boats departing from Zanzibar are very turbulent, and almost everyone on the ship vomited.
Don't miss these attractions in Zanzibar: Ziwani Palace, Sultan's Palace, Old Castle, the market ruins of the 'slave trade' and dungeons, and Christ Cathedral. You will find that this seemingly chaotic Stone Town of Zanzibar hides the stories of slave traders, great African explorer David Livingstone.
