There is a Floating Temple in Quanzhou, Its Architecture is Truly Rare in the World
One temple, one island, have you ever seen such a rare building?
On the Golden Coast of Quanzhou, Stone Lilies, there is such a temple. Whenever the sun rises above the sea, he is draped in gold. The Lokasha Temple stands on the sea-side reefs. Waves occasionally crash against the rocks, sending spray and foam.
Lokasha Temple is at the easternmost end of the beach. At high tide, it will also submerge the connecting sand. To facilitate access, a golden bridge was built to connect the temple and the coast. It is known as 'a temple floating on the sea.' It originated from Putuoshan, Zhejiang, and is the sacred place of Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Lokasha Temple, firmly situated on Steady Island, the surging tides resemble a bow to Guanyin Bodhisattva; as the tide recedes, the jagged reefs resemble an archway in deference to the Bodhisattva. With the rise and fall of the water, the island and temple move with the tide. With the rise and fall of the sun and moon, light and color shimmer. Backed by Mount Huoshan, facing Deepshun Bay, with fishing boats and seagulls, a magnificent scene. The eastern extension of the Bao Gai's vein, the western embrace of the Zi Mao's auspiciousness, the bell of the sea and sky's spirit, the beauty of Ju Xia's excellence, enriched and condensed, blessed with unique advantage.

Lokasha Temple is not like a typical ancient temple deep in the mountains, simple and elegant. Lokasha Temple's yellow walls and red tiles, at first glance, have a refreshing feeling. Looking at Lokasha Temple, towering halls and buildings, grouped and arranged, golden and gleaming, with the sea and sky as a backdrop, creating a broad scene. The temple has a Tian Wang Dian (Heaven King Hall), a Yuan Tong Bao Dian (Circle-Ring Treasure Hall), a Gongbu Lou (Bell and Drum Tower), a Nianfo Tang (Plead for Salvation Hall), and a San Sheng Bao Dian (Three Saints Treasure Hall). The entire temple is magnificent and grand, with elaborate carvings and golden embellishments.

In the hall, the Guanyin Bodhisattva is six meters tall, wearing a Tian Guan (Heavenly Crown) with an Amitabha Buddha image. She is serene and plump, with her ears touching her shoulders, a compassionate and benevolent expression, dignified and composed. She sits in a Lotus seat, with her hands in a Zen mudra, her body and mind calm and concentrated. The Dragon Maiden, Sharnai, serves on both sides. To the left, the left assistant serves the Manjusri Bodhisattva, holding a scripture in his left hand and a rosary in his right hand, riding a blue lion. To the right, the right assistant serves Pithviyan Bodhisattva, holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, riding a white six-toothed elephant.
