In recent years, with the strong support from the county and towns, White Cloud Village has carefully excavated its location advantages, developed rural tourism, and has attracted a steady stream of tourists every summer. Villagers have opened farmhouses, and the formerly quiet village has suddenly become lively. This year, taking advantage of the 'Rural Revitalization' wind, multiple departments in the county and towns have coordinated to aim to build White Cloud Village into a 'model village for party leadership-led rural revitalization' throughout the county and even the city. White Cloud Village's 'face' has been further enhanced.
Improving the living environment, making the countryside beautiful. Since the construction of beautiful rural areas, White Cloud Village has, under the careful guidance of the county and town leaders, vigorously promoted it and correctly guided it, forming a good situation of all-round participation. Some residents used their actions to support the village's construction work, and voluntarily demolished all dilapidated houses that affected the view. During the cleaning action, the masses actively participated in the village's cleaning action, the river channels, village road corners, and the environment behind houses were all cleaned and orderly. The riverbanks, roadsides, and idle land were covered with fertile soil, and the masses planted flowers and trees under the spring breeze, pressing 'beauty keys' on the village. Currently, White Cloud Village has cleared 2.1 tons of river garbage, 3.6 tons of household waste, leveled and rectified 2200 square meters of earth and ditches, filled 1200 square meters of soil, planted 300 trees, and sown 170 kilograms of 10 kinds of flowers and grasses.
Planning for industrial development, wallets are getting fatter. A lot of tender green seedlings appeared in White Cloud Village's Narcissus Industrial Park. These Narcissus flowers eagerly poked their heads out to greet spring. Over 100 acres of Narcissus and nearly 40 acres of Peonies will attract a large number of tourists to admire the flowers in summer. Villagers, in addition to working outside to earn income, can sell Narcissus and Peonies after maturity according to the market price of medicinal herbs, and receive dividends. Inside the Red Pine Mushroom Cultivation Professional Cooperative's large greenhouses, people can see villagers working diligently. The cooperative's manager introduced that 245 large greenhouses have planted vegetables on the part of the land with debris, and nearly 70 greenhouses can be planted with Red Pine Mushrooms in mid-April and available for sale in late May, with an estimated yield of 20,000 kilograms and income of 400,000 yuan, benefiting poor households with 30,000 yuan in dividends. In addition to this, villagers have planted beans, radishes, and other green crops, and some skilled villagers have raised honeybees. During the peak tourist season, these agricultural products can be made into delicious food and placed on the tables of tourists, or they can be sold, creating multiple channels for the masses to increase their income and their lives getting richer and richer.
Reasonably designed and planned, tourism is booming. Designers brought drawings and measured the dilapidated houses in White Cloud Village, striving to create 'external five thousand years, internal five-star' guesthouses that are consistent with the historical and cultural essence of White Cloud Village. White Cloud Village's small roads, White Cloud fish pond, and the stone arch bridge – everything in White Cloud Village, under the careful planning of the designers and the flexible modification of the craftsmen, has undergone a 'makeover,' showcasing a vintage and ancient style. The White Cloud Village History Museum and the Party Consciousness Education Base construction are all scheduled to start this May. To attract tourists to admire the scenery and be impressed by the cultural charm, to let another wave of tourists linger in White Cloud Village in the depths of the mountains, and to let the villagers enjoy the 'benefits' brought by rural tourism.
