Ancient Apricot Forest in Spring
Ethereal azure sky, a gentle spring breeze, pastoral boys point towards the Ming Qing ancient apricot forest in Binguo village north of Linhao. Located on the Huangtu Plateau and the dunes. Across the mountains and valleys, apricot blossoms in full bloom, showcasing the natural harmony and beauty of this ancient apricot forest!
The Ming Qing ancient apricot forest is located on the Huangtu Plateau in Binguo Village, West of Yangping Town, Linhao City, Henan Province, adjacent to the 'Yellow Emperor's Casting Tripod Site'. Due to the soil being entirely yellow sand, the locals call it 'Shapo' (Sand Slope). This ancient apricot forest covers approximately 2000 acres, with weeds and thorny bushes sprawling across the barren sand land. Scattered ancient trees grow sparsely but deliberately on the Shapo, with gnarled roots and iron-like trunks, showcasing a thousand years of history.
The mottled ancient trees, with their twisted and majestic branches, are covered in black wrinkles of age. Having weathered winds, rains, lightning, and thunder, they remain vibrant and alive, enacting an unparalleled legacy of life.
Survival of the fittest, adaptation of the fittest. During the apricot blossom season, pure white apricot blossoms climb across the branches. One tree, one tree of flowers, one painting. A myriad of forms, rustic and elegant, naturally endowed with charm.
