Searching for Audrey Hepburn's Retirement Years in Morelegenjoyed Ancient Town

Flower of Lake Geneva
There is a ferry dock on the shore of Lake Geneva, and you can reach the town by ferry from Geneva or Lausanne. The town of Morelegenjoyed is small and charming, and it can be visited by walking. Morelegenjoyed has the name 'Flower of Lake Geneva'. Every April-May, the town hosts the Tulip Festival; in summer, the beautiful Lilacs on the shores of Lake Geneva are in full bloom; in autumn, the flowerbeds are dominated by large chrysanthemums.
In Morelegenjoyed, you can appreciate the scenery of Lake Geneva, and you can also visit the lakeside landmarks: Morelegenjoyed Castle. Built in 1286, Morelegenjoyed Castle is now the location of 4 museums: the Canton of Vaud Military Museum, the Cannon Museum, the Swiss Sculpture Museum and the Swiss Border Guard Museum.

The farmer's market in Morelegenjoyed is held twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. You can truly feel the daily life of the people in the town by visiting the market. Hepburn would often go to Morelegenjoyed's outdoor farmer's market, and the early market was bustling with people.
Hepburn's Residence
Troschlana village is located in the suburbs of Morelegenjoyed, and Hepburn's residence 'Residence of Peace' is located there.
Hepburn carefully tended to her orchard garden in this 18th-century old house; she cared for small animals; she picked up her children, went to the market, painted, did housework… Life was quiet and simple, low-key and elegant. Nowadays, fans from all over the world come to visit Hepburn's residence every year, they would quietly wander around the old house, looking at the window where she once appeared.
A village square named after Audrey Hepburn is located in the center of Troschlana village, and there is a statue of Hepburn on the side of the square.
Hepburn's Cemetery
From 'Residence of Peace' you can walk back, Hepburn's cemetery is located on a small hillside not far from the village entrance.
A small path leads to the cemetery, and in front of Hepburn's tombstone, which is weathered, some small wildflowers bloom on both sides of the cross, and a cute angel statue is placed in front of the tombstone, as well as some gifts and photos left by. There is no inscription on the tombstone, only 'AUDREY HEPBURN 1929-1993' is engraved, which is as low-key and simple as her.
