Tongliang County West Suburban Greenbelt
The West Suburban Greenbelt is a key demonstration area for rural revitalization in Chongqing Tongliang District. It was awarded as one of the 'Top 10 Most Beautiful Villages in Chongqing' in 2019. The West Suburban Greenbelt encircles mountains and lakes, connects points in a line, and expands in connected areas. The greenbelt is like a string of pearls, connecting King Fruit Industry, Hehu Village, and Mituo Pure Strawberry Farms and other small and medium-sized industrial bases and scenic spots. Driving along the greenbelt, the spring scenery on both sides is breathtaking, either with shady trees swaying in the wind or white egrets flying along the lake, or flower seedlings competing in colorful splendor, or traditional farmhouse dwellings with smoke rising. The West Suburban Greenbelt has become a beautiful countryside landscape in Tongliang.

On April 1st, the author entered the West Suburban Greenbelt Gardenia Base located in Ba Subdistrict, Tongliang District, Chongqing. Inside and outside the various steel greenhouses, colorful and uniquely shaped gardenias were in full bloom, which was astonishing.
Gardenias have vibrant colors, long flowering periods, and are often used for roadside and courtyard landscaping, or as hedge plants and greenhouse plants. They are the perfect match for flowerbeds and flower strips.
The base technician said that common gardenias are often red, but here, through hybridization techniques, gardenias have combined red, white, yellow, purple, and blue, creating a stunning colorful spectacle.

It is understood that the West Suburban Greenbelt Gardenia Base covers an area of 1500 acres, which is currently the largest and most diverse gardenia industrial park in Sichuan and Chongqing. The gardenia industrial park is an important industrial project being built in the Tongliang County Rural Revitalization West Suburban Demonstration Zone, and it is a new scenic area created through the integration of 'Industry Base + Rural Theme Tourism'.
