Going to the Sea to Experience the Joy of Harvesting
People living by the sea, according to the laws of tide rise and fall, go to the coastal mudflats and rocks to salvage or collect seafood at the time of low tide, this is called 'gonghai' (literally 'going to the sea'). For those born and raised by the sea, who are familiar with feeling the tide, picking up shellfish and enjoying the gifts of the sea is a very happy thing. On that afternoon, the weather was beautiful, with a gentle sea breeze and white clouds shading the sun, a group of citizens came to 'gonghai' with tools carefully searching the beach for their desired seafood. Many were first-time participants, slowly learning how to find delicious seafood under the guidance of local seniors.

Gonghai Citizens:
It's my first time on the island, and I feel quite excited. It's really enjoyable to experience this natural environment, digging is quite tiring, but I still feel very excited because it's my first time experiencing it.
As the tide continues to recede, delicious clams and scallops appear before our eyes. Excitement shouts of 'I have crabs here, there are many scallops here' are heard on the beach as citizens immerse themselves in the joy of harvest, while taking pictures to preserve these beautiful moments. In a short time, the buckets brought along were filled with various kinds of shellfish.

Citizens told reporters that it was very happy to enjoy the fun of 'gonghai' in such a beautiful environment, and they also gained a lot of delicious food. They can savor their own labor results at home.
Gonghai Citizens:
We harvested a lot. I dug a bucket full of clams and conches.
