Convenient Cherry Blossom Viewing in Yili: Express Line Road to Cherry Blossom Valley Opens
China Economic Herald, China Development Network Report by Liu Ying, Reporter, March 31st, Kunming, Yili County's Cherry Blossom Valley Express Line Road officially opened, forming a scenic loop that will greatly alleviate traffic pressure during peak season, making it more convenient for tourists to enjoy cherry blossoms and hike.

Yili County Party Secretary Li Shaoshun announced the opening. At the opening ceremony, Yili County People's Government Vice County Magistrate Li Jinchang introduced: After nearly four months, the original firebreak road has been converted into a 11-meter wide tourist avenue. Although the road is only 4 kilometers long, it carries the dreams of the villagers of Shanhoucun to prosperity and well-being. The 11-meter width provides a solid foundation for promoting 'Cherry Blossom Valley' nationwide, and also reflects the determined will of the people of Yili to win the anti-poverty campaign.

Remembering the past, a winding, narrow road was difficult to drive on. Now, a wide road faces the sky, changing appearances. Before, to see the cherry blossoms, the time spent on the road was longer than the time spent in the scenic area; even the most beautiful cherry blossoms had flaws. Now, when visiting the cherry blossoms, the smooth road is also a beautiful landscape. The road is also a major artery for economic development. In recent years, under the difficult circumstances of economic downturn and tight finances, the Yili Party Committee and Government have always placed the construction of roads in an important position. During the '13th Five-Year Plan' period, the whole county invested 4.36 billion yuan to complete the construction of 485 kilometers of rural roads. A series of 'prosperity roads' and 'heart roads' are being built in earnest. This year, Yili will also rebuild 100 kilometers of rural roads, allowing Yili's residents to say goodbye to the situation of 'grey skies one day, muddy days the next.' Providing strong guarantees to improve the happiness and sense of gain of the whole county's population; and to contribute a 'transportation' force to ensure the steady development of the whole county and the successful completion of the '13th Five-Year Plan' and the construction of a high-quality rural area.

Yesterday, snow like flowers, today flowers like snow. The snowstorm on the first day of the Chinese New Year gave birth to the beautiful scenery we see today. 400 years of planting and transporting flowers, 3800 acres of planting area, and more than 60 varieties of cherry blossoms will create Yili Cherry Blossom Valley as the largest cherry blossom planting base in Yunnan Province. Here, every spring, ten miles of cherry blossoms are red across the mountains, visible at a glance. After the Cherry Blossom Valley Express Line Road is opened, it will form a Cherry Blossom Valley scenic loop, greatly alleviating traffic pressure during peak season, improving tourist experience, and having a very important significance for Yili's ecological leadership and green development, and all-inclusive development led by large tourism. It will gradually show the vitality of Yili's continuous opening and progress.
