International-Class Free 3A Scenic Area, Forced to Demolish After Spending 400 Million Yuan on Construction
With the development of tourism, various scenic areas have diverse styles, some are ancient scenic spots, some areas have launched cherry blossom attractions, and some areas have launched historical attractions. Regardless of the style, the resulting revenue is different. The worst result is that poorly managed scenic areas eventually go bankrupt. However, one scenic area was demolished due to illegal construction – Kunlun Temple in Baiyu Mountain.
In late March of this year, Kunlun Temple in Baiyu Mountain, Shaanxi Province, was forcibly demolished due to violations of building regulations. This was because Kunlun Temple was involved in illegal construction, and the government carried out demolition. In early March, the Baiyu Garden Folk Culture Village within the Baiyu Garden area was also demolished. The Baiyu Mountain scenic area experienced two consecutive demolitions of attractions, and its status rapidly declined. Today, we mainly talk about Kunlun Temple. Kunlun Temple is located in Wangfeng Village, Sangling Township, Han City, Shaanxi Province, and was built in the 1970s. Due to years of neglect, Kunlun Temple could no longer withstand the wind and rain.
After several years, local coal mine manager Wang Consheng began to renovate Kunlun Temple. As a native of Han City, Wang Consheng's renovation of Kunlun Temple received support from the people of Han City. According to local villagers, Wang Consheng spent over 400 million yuan renovating Kunlun Temple over more than a year. Wang Consheng, the coal mine manager, was very meticulous.
Kunlun Temple is composed of a temple dedicated to the Goddess and a temple dedicated to the Bodhisattva. Kunlun Temple is surrounded by mountains, with lush trees, and the scenic area has also built walking trails, glass observation decks, and signal towers. After four years of sedimentation, the dilapidated Kunlun Temple finally took shape and became a national-level 3A scenic spot. The ticket was also free. Kunlun Temple quickly became a landmark of the local area and a famous resort destination. The Kunlun Temple Festival was also very successful, with a constant stream of tourists.
Now, Kunlun Temple is no longer as prosperous as before, leaving only a pile of ruins, which is a poignant sigh.
