Chongshan Town, Fushen County, Sichuan Province, is located on the south bank of the River in the southeast of Fushen County, 64 kilometers from the county seat, 28 kilometers from Luzhou, 15 kilometers from the Longna Highway, and 25 kilometers downstream along the river to directly access the Yangtze River. It borders Huxi Township of Luzhou County across the river to the east, Jiangyin Town of Luzhou City to the south, and Shizhai Township to the west, and Zhaohe Town to the north, separated by the river from Huide Town.
The fishing village of Zhufu Dam within the town is one of the nine plains formed by the River flowing through Fushen County. The largest midstream dam of the River, Changan Midstream Dam, has abundant sandstone resources with a total area of 2000 acres, and has currently been developed and utilized for 700 acres. The main crops grown are rice, corn, sorghum, wheat, sweet potatoes, as well as vegetables, peanuts, rapeseed, sugarcane, and fruits. Notably, 3000 acres of pesticide-free vegetables and 300 acres of late-ripening litchi are well-known throughout the region. In 2003, the town achieved a GDP of 5562, with an agricultural output value of 4425, producing 10,400 tons of grain, a business income of 4276 for township enterprises, fixed asset investment of 582, and a total retail sales volume of consumer goods of 1826, with fiscal revenue of 69.91, and per capita income of farmers of 2179 yuan.
The road segment passing through Changan Town has been renovated with a cement road surface. The pattern of 'road-led streets, trade driven by streets, and trade promoted by trade' has formed. More than 10,000 square meters of various buildings have been built along the highway, and the Jinping Township Center Village, a connection between urban and rural areas, has been built and completed. The self-supplied water project has been fully completed, and the government street, rural market and township natural gas station are under preparation. The town party committee and government have formulated the 'Changan Town Tenth Five-Year Plan and Ten-Year Strategic Prospect Plan,' according to the development idea of 'agriculture-led trade, trade-driven commerce, trade-brought industry, and integrated agriculture, industry, and commerce.' Using the planning of 'one zone, three streets, one line, and one area,' the town plans for the future five-to-ten-year work.
In 2019, Shizhai Township was abolished and its administrative area was incorporated into Changan Town. The Changan Town People's Government is located at No. 69 East Street.
