Lotus Mountain Cherry Blossom Sea
The lotus mountain cherry blossom sea covers an area of about 300 mu, which is the largest in Shandong Province. The flowering season is from April to May, when the flowers are very beautiful and spectacular. Visitors stroll through the sea of cherry blossoms, near the adjacent Bixiyuan Lake, and can feel the beauty of Lotus Mountain up close.
New Tai Lotus Mountain is located in New Tai, Shandong Province. The mountain has nine peaks clustered together, resembling a lotus flower, and is an important place for the manifestation of Guanyin Bodhisattva. New Tai Lotus Mountain was listed in ‘China’s Forest Oxygen Bar’ in 2017. The vegetation is abundant and the negative ion concentration of the air is high, making the air clean and fresh. The scenic area has three tourist routes: East, Middle, and West. The most classic route is the middle line, starting from Guanyin Temple, passing through Zimo Spring, Yungu Feibufa, and reaching Yungu Temple to view the scenic wonders of Yungu and listen to the sound of pine trees. It also passes through Foshan Lizi, Fengdong Shitaishan Zen Retreat, and Yong Cui Lake, among other famous attractions on the mountain.
A newly opened cliff trail is located at an altitude of 920 meters on Lotus Mountain, with a total length of 2000 meters. It follows the terrain, winding and undulating. Along the trail, there are glass bridges and high-altitude glass observation platforms. Walking through the cliff trail, you can admire the precipitous cliffs and survey the canyons, explore the wonders, and lose yourself in the vastness of the sky. It’s a truly unforgettable experience!
In April, the cherry blossom sea under Lotus Mountain is a stage for cherry blossoms. If you miss the short flowering period of cherry blossoms, you won’t be disappointed. Along Lotus Lake, the cherry blossoms in the surrounding areas bloom in harmony, ‘like a rainbow on the ground’, brilliantly covering the lakeside like a purple carpet. Visitors stroll through it, feeling dreamlike, illusory, and intoxicated. It’s said that cherry blossoms are known as ‘the most beautiful cherry blossoms in the world’.
