New Hotspots in Guangzhou: Like Entering the Mysterious Tree Forests of Inner Mongolia – Perfect Spots for Spring Walks and Sightseeing
Spring wind and drizzle, it's really said that it's so touching when we're still immersed in winter, spring transforms into spring rain and wind, nourishing the earth and allowing greenery and flowers to grow and develop after being nourished by the rain, adding color to spring. Especially in Guangdong, after receiving sufficient rainfall, the newly rejuvenated trees are very beautiful to see. At this time, it's most suitable to go out for a walk and relax, to feel the vitality of nature more closely. My (female friend) dragged me out on the weekend, saying she had discovered a new spot to visit, which I would definitely love. This scenic spot is located in Guaoli Hu (Green Lake) in Zengcheng, Guangzhou.

Because it's near Guangzhou and not far away, we brought a picnic mat and food and set off. After several recent rainstorms, it was a rare weekend with sunny weather, so many people brought their children out for a walk and a picnic. The weekend was quite crowded, so if possible, choosing a weekday can avoid peak travel times. The park doesn't charge an entrance fee, which is why it's so popular with people living nearby. Entering the park, we saw a vast expanse of lawn, the warm sun shining on the lawn, making us want to lie down and immerse ourselves in the warmth. The park has two lawns, and many people, like us, spread out their picnic mats and basked in the sun. Children ran on the lawn, holding colorful windmills and bubble machines, bubbles refracting dazzling light in the sunlight. Lying on the lawn, with blue skies and white clouds, a few kites drifted lazily. This comfortable time allows us to deeply feel the atmosphere of spring.
In the middle of the lawn, there are several tall, straight trees, and at this time, the tree branches have sprouted a new batch of green leaves. The lush foliage makes the trees the most eye-catching presence in the park. It is said that these trees are the park's 'Instagrammable' trees, perhaps giving a feeling of existing independently. Taking photos is definitely very beautiful background. Walking from the lawn towards the lake, we could see a row of fir trees planted along the lake shore. Looking through the gaps in the fir trees, we could see the calm lake surface. It makes us unconsciously quiet. The lakeside has a wooden boardwalk and observation platform. On the boardwalk, there are a few odd-shaped tree trunks protruding, the trunks are bare and without green leaves, but the trunks extend in various shapes, as if seen in the strange tree forest in Inner Mongolia.

We reached the shallow water area of the lake, where we could see a group of small fish seedlings swimming back and forth. We saw some people picking up pebbles and making water drums, so we tried our luck. Watching the pebbles create ripples on the calm lake surface, eventually sinking to the bottom. Guaoli Hu also has a fishing project, but it's not for farmed fish, they are originally in the lake. There are also many people sitting by the shore to fish, although the scenery is very beautiful and the sun isn't too strong, it's definitely suitable for fishing, but for someone like me who can't sit still, it's just for watching. Seeing the sunset at Guaoli Hu is also very charming. A golden sunset gradually set, the last rays of light shone on the lake surface, creating dazzling golden reflections, like a dazzling pile of diamonds, making us unable to take our eyes off it.
Guaoli Hu in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, allows you to picnic, enjoy the breeze, and take your children with you on weekends. This comfortable spot should be seen while the spring is in full bloom.
