White and brown spotted fur, big eyes, a long tail, and it can also fly... such a cute 'mouse', have you ever seen one? On April 7th, in Guanwu Town, Zhushan County, many people witnessed a fresh event.
On the morning of the 10th, at around 9 o'clock, villagers of Xin Street Village, the town, Wang Jiao passed by Baijiawan when he saw a small animal resembling a mouse falling from the air to the middle of a river, on a boat. The little guy lingered for a long time without leaving, suspected of being trapped. Wang Jiao quickly dialed the phone of the Bamboo Mountain County Forest Public Security Bureau Dugeyuan Outpost Police Station, requesting assistance. Worried that the little 'mouse' would fall into the water, he also brought a raft to moor beside the boat, using a bag to cautiously approach and bring it into the bag, bringing it to a safe place on the shore.
The Dugeyuan Outpost Police Station Forest Public Security Bureau and Guanwu Town Forestry Station staff rushed to the scene for identification. It was a white-striped mouse, a national second-level protected animal. They belong to rodents, with a shape very similar to squirrels, with skin wings, and can glide when unfolded. The white-striped mouse is generally 35 to 60 cm long, weighing about 2000 grams, with a short and round head, big eyes, with a chestnut-red eye ring, and large pupils that can sense weak light. It was initially judged that this white-striped mouse may have gotten lost and accidentally fell into the boat. Fortunately, it had no injuries, and it could be released back into the mountains.
At 10:30, with the witnesses of Forest Public Security Bureau, Forestry staff and local villagers, Wang Jiao brought the little guy to the foot of a forest under a mountain. Soon, it disappeared from sight and returned to the mountains. 'I was a little reluctant, the little guy is really cute. But seeing it go home, I feel relieved!' Hot-hearted Wang Jiao told the reporter.
