Major Push! Guilin to Promote Development of These Three Tourist Attractions to Achieve 5A Level

A huge project! This year, Guilin will promote the development of Longsheng Rice Terraces, Yuntai Eight Corners Village, and Xing'an Miao Mountain to be designated as national 5A-level tourist attractions!

In 2019, the 'Report on the Implementation of the 2019 National Economic and Social Development Plan of Guilin City and the Draft of the 2020 National Economic and Social Development Plan (hereinafter referred to as 'the Report')') will promote the creation of Longsheng Rice Terraces, Yuntai Eight Corners Village, and Xing'an Miao Mountain as national 5A-level tourist attractions, which has been included in Guilin City's 2020 key tasks of national economic and social development.

Currently, Guilin has 4 A-level scenic areas, namely: Guilin Li River Scenic Area, Guilin Lucky Land Leisure World, Guilin Wangcheng Peak Scenic Area, and Guilin Four Rivers and Lakes Scenic Area – Xiangshan Scenic Area.

Longsheng Rice Terraces

Longsheng County, Longsheng Rice Terraces in Guilin areChina's important agricultural cultural heritage.Divided into three parts: Gold Pit • Daizhai Red Yao Rice Terrace Scenic Area (Daizhai Red Yao Rice Terraces), Ping'an Zhuang Ethnic Rice Terrace Scenic Area (Ping'an Zhuang Ethnic Rice Terraces), Longji Ancient Miao Village Rice Terrace Scenic Area.

The main peak has an altitude of 818 meters, named after the eight prominent corners on the main peak, and its development and richness are the rarest in the world, which is highly praised by geological, landscape and tourism experts as 'A World Granite Peak Wonder'.

The peak top is a granite boulder, shaped like a lying cat, so it is called Miao Mountain.

Miao Mountain spans two counties of Xing'an and Resource, with an area of 53,000 hectares. In 1990, Lu Dingyi inscribed a plaque on the old mountain in Baijie, praising Miao Mountain as 'Mount Tai', 'Mount Hua', 'Mount Lu' and 'Mount Emei'.
